So if you live in Key West, you probably should have evacuated a while ago, based on what Florida’s governor and the National Weather Service had been relentlessly saying for days.
But if you insisted on staying in the south Florida city, the least you could do is not go near the beach and look at the waves.
A man who went to the Southernmost Point Buoy to snap some cellphone pics of the heavy waves yesterday found out the hard way that this was a bad idea. As you can see in the video above, via a live cam set up at the tourist attraction, the guy gets absolutely mollywhopped by a crashing wave.
Nature sure does have a keen sense of humor.
