WATCH LIVE: Trump Speaks at White House Ceremony For Brett Kavanaugh’s Swearing-In

President Donald Trump will hold a ceremonial swearing-in event for newly-confirmed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh on Monday night.

The official swearing-in has already taken place, but Trump is replicating the event for ceremonial purposes. Undoubtedly, the president is looking to take a victory lap after his nominee got the Senate’s stamp of approval by a 50-48 margin following a confirmation battle which divided the nation in recent weeks. Kavanaugh faced multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, including an allegation of sexual assault from Christine Blasey Ford.

At the official ceremony on Saturday evening, oaths were administered by Chief Justice John Roberts and retired Justice Anthony Kennedy — the man whom Kavanaugh is replacing. Justices Clarence Thomas, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Samuel Alito, and Elana Kagan also attended.

The ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m. ET. Watch above, via the White House.
