During today’s White House press briefing, Sarah Huckabee Sanders was basically asked if President Donald Trump believes aliens exist.
There’s been a lot of intrigue about extraterrestrial life lately, ever since reports came out about the Pentagon’s secret programs to investigate the existence of UFOs. Jordan Fabian of The Hill asked Sanders about this today, though things took a funny turn when his phone’s speaker went off as he tried to ask his question.
Sanders was briefly taken aback, and she joked that maybe aliens were in the room with them already.
“I don’t know if that’s a coincidence or not,” Sanders joked. “I feel like I already want to pass on this question given that you have aliens sitting among you.”
Fabian eventually got to ask his question of whether Trump believes in UFOs and has any interest in keeping the program going. Sanders’ response: “Somehow that question hasn’t come up in our back and forth over the past couple of days. But I’ll ask and circle back.”
