Press conferences in the sport of boxing generally have about as much civility as a Clinton–Trump debate. These are hardly genial affairs. They are often quite tense.
A Wednesday news conference in advance of this weekend’s heavyweight bout in Manchester between Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte offered far more than the customary level of frostiness, and indeed, devolved into chaos.
“Look me in my eyes,” Chisora said, addressing Whyte directly. “If you think I’m a pussy, I’m a punk, you tell me right now. Because listen, I am the baddest man you’ll ever fucking meet.”
And as he said those last words, he picked up the table in front of him, and hurled it across the dais in the direction of Whyte.

Security and various handlers stepped in and kept the fighters and their camps apart, but they continued screaming taunts at each other from across the room.
Sky Sports reports that the fighters will be separated at the weigh-in, so that this incident is not repeated.
