WATCH: Unruly Passenger Spouts Off Racial Slurs, Breaks Out of Restraints Twice During Flight From Hell
A Breeze Airways passenger was removed from a flight and arrested after allegedly spewing racial slurs at employees and waving around a skateboard.
David Leroy Carter, 46, broke free of his restraints twice four hours into the disturbing his flight out of Norfolk, Virginia, on Wednesday. Carter is a Los Angeles resident and was headed to LAX.
The flight was eventually diverted to Grand Junction, Colorado, where Carter was taken into custody by police.
Videos posted to social media show Carter arguing with the flight’s staff. In one video, flight attendants ask for help in restraining Carter and a large man towering over Carter picks him up like a toy and carries him to his seat.
“Sit your a** down,” the man could be heard telling Carter.

Before the exchange, Carter refused to take a seat as a flight attendant tried to calm him down.
“Just F-bombs and N-bombs,” one passenger who wished to remain anonymous told NBC Los Angeles about the flight.
“To be honest with you, he was using a lot of racial slurs to the Black folk and the brown folk,” comedian PK Mackey, who was a row away from Carter, told the outlet.
Breeze Airways released a statement saying there were no injuries from the incident, but a flight attendant and passenger were examined for minor injuries.
“One Flight Attendant and one Guest were evaluated for minor injuries,” the airline said in a statement. “Our focus now is on taking care of our Crew and remaining Guests who have been unfairly inconvenienced by this unfortunate event and getting them safely to their final destination as quickly as possible.”
