WATCH: White House Press Briefing With Sarah Huckabee Sanders LIVESTREAM

Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will hold a briefing today to discuss the White House’s latest plans and administrative agenda. The briefing is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. EST

Today’s briefing is likely to revolve around the upcoming congressional developments for the push on tax reform. The House of Representatives is expected to vote on the GOP’s tax bill final version today, which means it will head to the Senate some time tonight, and President Donald Trump could possibly sign it into law by tomorrow. Trump has fiercely advocated for tax cuts over the last several weeks, and based on the projections that the bill will succeed in Congress, this could hand the president his first major legislative win in office.

It is also possible that Sanders will face multiple questions about the latest developments surrounding Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation. Trump recently told journalists that he doesn’t intend to fire Mueller, and he reportedly expects to receive a letter soon that will exonerate him of any wrongdoing. However, indications are that Mueller’s probe could actually continue for quite some time, which could become a persistent source of frustration for the White House and their allies.

Mueller’s critics have recently questioned his integrity over developments like the involvement of Peter Strzok in the probe, and Trump’s legal team has accused Mueller of illegally obtaining emails from the president’s transition team.

Other topics that might come up include the Amtrak train derailment in Washington state, Trump’s national security address, and the president’s reported anger with Neil Gorsuch,
