Wendy’s and McDonald’s have beef. The chain famous for its “fresh, never frozen” meat continued its well-documented Twitter savagery today when McDonald’s announced that they would be using fresh beef in all quarter pounders at most of their restaurants by mid-2018:
Today we’ve announced that by mid-2018, all Quarter Pounder burgers at the majority of our restaurants will be cooked with fresh beef. pic.twitter.com/Bdf99ALlxw

They tweeted back with a classic “asking for a friend” jab:
.@McDonalds So you’ll still use frozen beef in MOST of your burgers in ALL of your restaurants? Asking for a friend.

Wendy’s, of course, distinguishes itself from other chains by using fresh beef always. So, yeah, they weren’t going to let that one slide.
