What Does This Rupert Murdoch Tweet Even Mean?
News Corp chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch sent out this head-scratching tweet earlier Monday evening:
Po

Apparently Murdoch doesn’t regret the inscrutable tweet (or possible mistake), as it’s been up for several hours now. Naturally, that’s given the so-called Twitterverse enough time to publicly mock, scratch heads, and poke fun at the business magnate. Sample below:

Go ahead. You can say it: Poor @rupertmurdoch: Po”
— Ron Fournier (@ron_fournier) January 27, 2015
This isn’t the first time Murdoch has caused a stir on social media. He generated a significantly larger response earlier this month when he tweeted some controversial remarks about Muslims, saying they need to be held responsible for the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack “until they recognize and destroy their growing jihadist cancer.” His comment was met with a plethora of negative responses, including from author J.K. Rowling, a Daily Show correspondent, and comedian Aziz Ansari.
Murdoch eventually walked back his original comments.
If we ever discover the mystery behind “Po,” we will let you know.
