What Gen. Stanley McChrystal and Santigold Have In Common: Bud Light Lime!

If you ever wondered what General Stanley McChrystal might have in common with super-hip NYC downtown artist Santigold, wonder no longer, because today’s now-infamous Rolling Stone profile of the General reveals the answer: Bud Light Lime!

Yes, apparently General McChrystal is crazy for the summery-fresh beverage. Per Michael Hastings, who wrote the newsbreaking story, it is “his favorite beer,” and what they presumably drank on their volcano-induced bus ride from Paris to Berlin. Meanwhile, the NYC-based Santigold (“Santi” to her friends) has been the voice of the campaign for two years, with her melodious notes filling the commercial breaks of your favorite TV shows for the past few weeks.

This story has many angles, and I just wanted to top the “blame it on Eyjafjallajokull!” meme. (BTW, a Google search for “Hastings McChrystal volcano Paris Berlin Bud Light Lime” gets 5,160,000 hits, which strikes me as a search that could maybe be refined.)
