White House Gate Crasher Running For Governor In Virginia
The Salahis’ memorable claim to fame is “White House gate crashers” — an incident that received a flurry of press in 2009. Now, Tareq Salahi is looking for a more involved role in politics: he’s running for governor in Virginia.

According to the Associated Press, Salahi completed a declaration of candidacy and plans to run next year, as a Republican. A “State Board of Elections official says the agency that oversees Virginia elections can’t accept the declaration until the year in which the election is scheduled.”
Very recently, another GOP candidate for the position, Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, filed a lawsuit against Salahi and his winery, claiming that the winery cheated customers who bought tours.
The Salahis were also on Bravo’s Real Housewives of D.C.
