TMZ Reports: Leno Back At Tonight Show, NBC Says No
Is NBC ready to take a full mulligan?
TMZ is reporting Jay Leno has struck a deal to host The Tonight Show again at 11:35, for a full hour, as he had before.
But GossipCop is hearing no deal is set.
If the report is true, the likely line-up will be Leno at 11:35pm and Jimmy Fallon staying at 12:35am. This would end the possibility of Conan O’Brien staying with the network in any form.
But GossipCop has a comment from Leno’s personal publicist: “It is not true.”
Meanwhile the 10pm schedule, post-Olympics, has been revealed:
Monday – Law & Order, Tuesday – Parenthood, Wednesday – Law & Order: SVU, Thursday – The Marriage Ref (Jerry Seinfeld‘s show), Friday – Dateline.
Next question – when will be the final time Conan O’Brien hosts The Tonight Show?
