Intoxicated Woman Arrested after Mistaking Prison Building for a Bar

A Kalamazoo woman mistook a prison for a bar. Guess which one she ended up in.

According to the Van Buren County sheriff’s department, a woman was looking to pick up her boyfriend from a local bar but pulled into the parking lot of the Van Buren County jail instead, where her intoxicated state was quickly noticed.

Per the Associated Press, the 39-year-old woman took a breathalyzer and tested at double the legal limit. She was arrested on drunk driving charges. It’s unknown what happened to the boyfriend, so we’re going to assume he’s still at the bar wondering what the hell.
