Woman Uses Her Own Obituary to Defend Tom Brady’s Innocence
Sometimes people like to use obituaries for rather interesting purposes. A North Carolina man’s family asked that people not vote for Hillary Clinton, and the family of a Seahawks fan jokingly blamed the team’s “lousy play call” at the Super Bowl for his heart attack.
Well, after 72-year-old Massachusetts woman Patricia Shong passed away last week, her family included a little sports snippet in her obituary, at her request.
After going through her hobbies and such, the obituary includes this line: “She would also like us to set the record straight for her: Brady is innocent!!”
The reference there is, of course, to Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who got suspended for four games over the now-infamous DeflateGate controversy, which completely revitalized the ball pun industry.
