#WomenBoycottTwitter Trends in Solidarity of Rose McGowan and Other Victims of Sexual Harassment

Twitter reacted very strongly when actress and vocal Harvey Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan‘s account was temporarily suspended.
The social media giant claimed she violated their terms and conditions and initially blocked her from tweeting for 12 hours, but after immediate backlash, they backtracked.
Now many Twitter users are calling not to use the site all day Friday, October 13, to show solidarity for McGowan and others who are silenced using the #WomenBoycottTwitter.
Tomorrow (Friday the 13th) will be the first day in over 10 years that I won’t tweet. Join me. #WomenBoycottTwitter pic.twitter.com/xoEt5Bwj5s

Folks, I will honor #WomenBoycottTwitter – going silent tonight. This is too often a place of bullying abuse. See you on the weekend.
