‘Is Rachel Sad?’ Bannon Fumes At MSNBC For Wrongly Labelling Him a ‘Convicted Felon,’ Repeats Vow to Punish Critics

Former Trump campaign manager and White House advisor, Steve Bannon, raged at MSNBC on Tuesday for inaccurately describing his contempt of Congress conviction a felony when it is in fact a misdemeanor charge. Bannon also took aim at the network and mocked host Rachel Maddow for being concerned that Donald Trump would use the power of government to go after her should he get back into power.

“By the way, MSNBC producers, you got to do better when you put up a TikTok that’s got me in there. I’m not a convicted felon. It’s a misdemeanor. Learn what actually happened. It’s a misdemeanor. It’s a misdemeanor. You guys spent all that money? You ought to get a staff that could do some checking for accuracy,” Bannon fumed about the MSNBC TikTok about his speech over the weekend. Bannon is set to begin serving his four-month jail sentence in early July.

Also during his Tuesday broadcast, the far-right conspiracy theorist doubled down on his vow that MAGA will punish its critics should Trump return to power:

You shredded the Constitution. You went after us, you debanked, you deplatformed. You put people in bankruptcy. You’re trying to take law licenses away. You people are on attack, attack, attack because you control this apparatus and you are destroying the United States of America. How do I know that? Look at the southern border. Oh, by the way, 53% of Hispanics want mass deportations.

There’s a new day dawning, baby. Sorry. You don’t like it. Did we make you cry? When you saw the speech, did you cry? Did you curl up? Suck on your thumb, get in the fetal position. We’re sad. We’re sad over at MSNBC. Nicolle Wallace got the sad face. Don’t be sad. It’s a new day. Dawn in America. We’re happy. MAGAs ascendant. And don’t lie about it. Everything’s going to be within the restored constitution. The Constitution, United States, and the Rule of law. That’s what you’re worried about.

Bannon added a new layer to his threat, saying that MAGA will be justified and working within the rule of law to go after critics because he knows they have somehow broken the law:

You know about your crimes. What do you think, McCabe? ‘We’re having serious conversations behind the scenes about leaving the country.’

Why are they talking about leaving the country? Why are they talking about running? Why? Because you know the crimes you committed. You understand what treason is and the treasonous activities you’ve been doing. And we’re going to be relentless on this. This is a process. Trust the process. Is Rachel sad? It’s unbelievable. Oh, this is this is. This is not a response, I think. You don’t think as a response to anything? It’s a response to the destruction of this republic. And here’s the beauty of it. All you talk about is democracy. Democracy. Democracy. No other word. They’ve seen the Crosstabs baby. They’ve seen it. They understand we are ascendant.
