Former GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley tore into Ohio’s Republican candidate for U.S. Senate on Tuesday, asking “Are you trying to lose the election?”

Haley’s jab came after Bernie Moreno told a town hall audience on Friday that suburban women are overly focused on abortion and wonder why older women even care about the issue.

“You know, the left has a lot of single-issue voters,” Moreno said in a clip from Ohio NBC4 News.

“Sadly, by the way, there’s a lot of suburban women, a lot of suburban women that are like, ‘Listen, abortion is it. If I can’t have an abortion in this country whenever I want, I will vote for anybody else.’ … OK. It’s a little crazy by the way, but — especially for women that are like past 50 — I’m thinking to myself, ‘I don’t think that’s an issue for you,’” added the Trump-backed candidate.

Haley shared the full quote online and added, “Are you trying to lose the election? Asking for a friend. #Tonedeaf #DonLemonVibes.” Moreno is running against vulnerable incumbent Democrat Sherrod Brown (D-OH) in a state Trump has won in the past by large margins.

Haley was referencing a highly controversial comment from former CNN host Don Lemon who criticized Haley during the primaries for focusing on Trump and Biden’s age. “She says people, you know, politicians are suddenly not in their prime. Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime. Sorry, When a woman is in their prime in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s…” Lemon said in February as his co-hosts protested.
