Dejected Ex-Trump Adviser Rails Against House Republicans: ‘I’m So Disappointed’

Former Trump trade adviser and White House official Peter Navarro ripped into Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Wednesday while on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast.

“And I was so disappointed, so disappointed with Speaker Johnson and our Republican House,” Navarro said at one point, adding:

I don’t know what these people were thinking in there, but they just have not delivered on the fiscal cliff. They have not delivered on communist China. They have not delivered on the border. I think it’s like what is going on in their heads, is there not nobody on Capitol Hill who understands the gravity of the situation?

And you were talking offline during the commercial about how they’re going to push the C.R. over again. It’s like, you know, ahh, Donald Trump is going to be president in 2025, but boy, aren’t we going to have a mess of problems we’re going to have to solve because they’re not doing it now.

Navarro also took a shot at the GOP-led House Oversight Committee for not granting Hunter Biden’s request to testify in public, instead opting for a closed-door deposition before a possible public hearing. “House @RepJamesComer should hold a public hearing and let Hunter Biden be questioned. It was BS when J6 Committee held closed door hearings and Republicans rightly complained,” Navarro tweeted, likening the Rep. James Comer (R-KY) to the House January 6th Committee.

“Hunter has no defense. Let him twist in the wind on national TV,” Navarro concluded.
