Fox News Host Suggests Jamaal Bowman Could Get 30 Years In Prison For Pulling Fire Alarm

Fox News hosts were incensed with the Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) fire alarm scandal that temporarily halted budget voting on Saturday, suggesting he could get up to 30 years in prison for illegal obstruction of justice.

Bowman claimed he pulled the alarm by mistake as he was rushing to get to the House floor, but detractors blamed him for trying to stall the vote to prevent a government shutdown.

Outnumbered host Emily Compagno came down with an iron fist when discussing the issue on Tuesday’s show.

“To me it’s like when we found cocaine in the White House, that for some reason became a laughable point,” she said, continuing:

There’s nothing laughable about a culture of lawlessness. a culture of lack of accountability in that White House, and a culture clearly among the Democrats and among this team that can be liberally and all the time applied simply if you are a Republican.

I find it reprehensible and I find it pathetic that a sitting congressman would pull the fire alarm. To your point, it’s a misdemeanor up to six months in jail and $1,000 fine. It can also be illegal obstruction of congressional proceedings, which is a felony, and that can be up to five years. It can also be illegal obstruction of justice and that’s up to 30 years.

Think about every time you fly on a plane. What does it say in the restroom? If you tamper with the little fire thing, you will be subjected to a monstrous fine and a felony fine at a minimum. So, yet again. Where is the continuity and where is the fairness?

Compagno added sarcastically, “I wonder what we’ll see from the attorney general.”

Former President Donald Trump first called for Bowman’s imprisonment in a Truth Social post Sunday:

His egregious act is covered on tape, a horrible display of nerve and criminality. It was a very dangerous ‘Obstruction of an Official Proceeding,’ the same as used against our J-6 prisoners. Actually, his act may have been worse. HE MUST SUFFER THEIR SAME FATE. WHEN WILL HIS TRIAL BEGIN???

Some Republicans are calling for his expulsion from the House. Bowman said he discussed the situation with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), but did not disclose the nature of the conversation.
