GOP Congressman, In Absolutely Nuts Fox Interview, Claims He Has ‘Evidence’ Biden Was Under the Influence During the State of the Union

Rep. Greg Murphy (R-N.C.) claimed on Thursday to have “evidence” that President Joe Biden was “jacked up” on something before his State of the Union address, never actually specifying what this booster-of-sorts was and throwing Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo for a loop.

Murphy joined Bartiromo on Thursday morning and when discussing the upcoming debates between the president and Donald Trump, Murphy took a side road and made a wild accusation.

“I’ll just be very plain and simple. I was at the State of the Union address and Joe Biden must have been jacked up on something that day,” the Republican lawmaker said. “I absolutely believe that from a medical viewpoint and have a good bit of knowledge that happened. He can’t stand and he can’t stand under the lights for that long and I don’t think he can keep a concept in his brain that long.”

After accusing Biden of using some kind of performance enhancer, Murphy, a practicing surgeon, went on to recommend Trump “act presidential” and “stay in his lane” in the upcoming debates.

Bartiromo was still stuck on the “jacked up” accusation.

“What do you mean when you say he was jacked up at the State of the Union?” she asked.

“I believe they gave him something to sustain the lights and sustain the vigor that he had. That was not Joe Biden. I was in there. He screamed for two hours,” Murphy said.

He then offered to “talk offline” with Bartiromo and show her something that “proves” his accusation.

“You’ll show me what?” a shocked Bartiromo asked.

“I think I can have some evidence that shows that he was given something before,” he said.

Bartiromo asked Murphy what specifically he was referring to “in terms of medicine,” but Murphy would not elaborate, only saying the president is being “manufactured” and “puppeteered.”

Bartiromo wrapped up the talk by promising to follow up on Murphy’s wild claim.

Other Biden critics have also referred to Biden being more energetic during his State of the Union, though many mostly mocking it rather than laying out an actual conspiracy with hidden evidence like Murphy. Biden saw a polling boost after his fiery address to the nation.

In a Wednesday interview on Fox & Friends, Sean Hannity joked about the president being hopped up on caffeine and Red Bull, referring to him as “jacked up Joe,” a nickname he coined after the State of the Union.

“I think Donald Trump will wipe the floor with him, and I don’t care if we get the State of the Union jacked up Joe with caffeine, Red Bull, or whatever, or we get regular Joe that could barely walk off the stage last night,” he said.
