Hannity Blasts Biden’s ‘Clichéd’ and ‘Disjointed’ Speech Urging Security Aid for Israel and Ukraine

Sean Hannity and Dana Perino harshly panned President Joe Biden’s speech from the Oval Office on Thursday night in which he called on Congress to pass a security package for Ukraine and Israel.

Israel was attacked by Hamas militants two weeks ago in incidents that killed 1,400 people. Ukraine, meanwhile, continues trying to fend off the Russian invasion that began in February 2022.

“American leadership is what holds the world together, Biden said. “American alliances are what keep us, America, safe. American values are what make is a partner that other nations want to work with. To put all that risk, if we walk away from Ukraine, if we turn our backs on Israel, it’s just not worth it.”

Hannity and Perino rendered their verdicts after Fox News’ Brit Hume lauded the address on the network the previous hour He called it “one of the best, if not the best, speeches of his presidency.”

“I felt a little bad – like you did – piling on our friend Brit Hume tonight, who we all respect and admire,” Hannity said before describing Biden’s speech as “clichéd, disjointed, back and forth.”

“Where is the discussion of the brutality?” he asked.

“I was prepared all day, Sean, to love the speech and to applaud it,” Perino said. “I wanted to say ‘Wow. Amazing. America in the lead, taking the action that it needs to.’ And I just did not feel that way. Martha MacCallum made a point that apparently they had written this Ukraine speech for a while. And it’s like, they topped it with the atrocities of October 7, which is not good enough.”

Perino said there were several key omissions in the speech.

“I just didn’t think the speech hit any of those benchmarks tonight,” she said.

“I thought it missed the mark on a lot of fronts,” Hannity agreed. “I did not have any expectations of Joe Biden tonight.”
