Officials from the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris met with representatives for Joe Rogan to discuss a possible interview on The Joe Rogan Experience, according to Reuters.
Nandita Bose and Jeff Mason reported the scoop on Monday night.
“.@KamalaHarris could sit down with @joerogan for an interview in the final stretch of the U.S. presidential campaign, three sources said on Monday,” Bose tweeted. “Harris campaign officials met with Rogan’s team this week but an appearance has not been confirmed yet, two of the sources said.”
Rogan’s show regularly tops the podcast charts as the most popular program. On Sunday, former President Donald Trump said he is going on Rogan’s show.
Trump was recently interviewed on the Nelk Boys podcast, where a host asked him if he would go on Rogan’s show.
“You’re doing a lot of podcasts recently,” the host said. “One that I would love to see you on, I think Joe Rogan has to have you on. Would you do that?”
“I think I’m doing it, actually,” Trump replied, stating that Rogan is a “good guy.”
“So, you are going to do Joe Rogan?”
“Yeah, I am,” Trump answered.
Rogan himself has yet to confirm an interview with Trump. The host has previously said he had turned down the former president on multiple occasions.
“I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form,” Rogan said in 2022. “I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once, I’ve said no every time.”
He added, “I don’t want to help him, I’m not interested in helping him.”
Rogan may have changed his tune. On Saturday, he asked his followers on X if they would like to see Trump on the show. The replies were overwhelmingly in favor.
