Over a dozen House Democrats publicly rebuked President Joe Biden by voting for a GOP-led bill to force the sale of offensive aid to Israel on Thursday.

The Israel Security Assistance Support Act will be dead on arrival in the U.S. Senate and was largely a symbolic measure that also served as Republican protest against Biden taking a harder line against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ongoing desire to move his military campaign into southern Gaza, where over 1 million displaced civilians are living in dire conditions.

The act passed with 224 votes in favor and 187 against, including three Republican dissenters: Reps. Warren Davidson (R-OH), Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), and Thomas Massie (R-KY). Greene and Massie have frequently voted with the hardleft of the Democratic Party on measures regarding Israeli aid and anti-Semitism since the war against Hamas has ratcheted up.

CNN’s Manu Raju published the full list of Democrats who voted for the bill:

Don Davis (D-NC)
David Scott (D-GA)
Jared Golden (D-MN)
Greg Landsman (D-OH)
Ritchie Torres (D-NY)
Mary Peltola (D-AK)
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA)
Henry Cuellar (D-TX)
Lois Frankel (D-FL)
Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ)
Matt Cartwright (D-PA)
Darren Soto (D-FL)
Tom Suozzi (D-NY)
Frank Pallone (D-NJ)
Angie Craig (D-MN)
Jared Moskowitz (D-FL)

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has already publicly said the bill is “not going anywhere” in the Senate, but as the New York Times noted on Thursday “it had its intended effect of splintering Democrats.”

“The vote was the latest bid by congressional Republicans to portray themselves and their party as the true friends of the Jewish state and capitalize politically on the rift among Democrats about the war. The bill effectively forced Democrats to choose between a vote that would show unequivocal backing for Israel but embarrass Mr. Biden, and one that Republicans portrayed as anti-Israel,” added the Times.
