A woman-on-the-street interview took a profane turn as Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) twice told a reporter to “fuck off” as he asked her a question about detained migrant Kilmar Albrego Garcia.

The exchange between Omar and Daily Caller News Foundation video reporter Myles Morell, posted Thursday, came when the latter asked if she believes more Democrats should be heading to El Salvador to advocate for Abrego Garcia.

“I think you should fuck off,” she replied very calmly.

“I’m sorry. What, Congresswoman?” Morell said.

“Fuck off,” she said again.

An aide then cuts in, trying to hand the reporter a business card.

“We’re not taking any more questions right now, but here you go,” she said after trying to cover the camera lens with the card.

“Yeah, thanks,” Morell said as the video ended.

Video of the bizarre confrontation was posted to the Daily Caller X account on Thursday.

Read the full exchange here:

MYLES MORELL: Congresswoman Omar, I’m Myles Morell with the Daily Caller News Foundation. Do you think more of your Democratic colleagues should be traveling to El Salvador to advocate on behalf of Abrego Garcia?

ILHAN OMAR: I think you should Fuck off.

MORELL: I’m sorry. What, Congresswoman?

OMAR: Fuck off.

MORELL: Who should?

OMAR: You

MORELL: Why me?

AIDE: We’re not taking any more questions right now, but here you go.

MORELL: Yeah, thanks.

Later Thursday, Morell posted a follow-up reaction to the situation on X, saying, “I found that very unprofessional and very rude, especially when I was just a journalist who’s trying to do his job.”

A call to Omar’s office was not immediately returned.
