Mark Levin Drags ‘Clown’ Matt Gaetz Over Threat to Oust McCarthy: ‘Rant and Rave Without a Plan’

Fox News’ Mark Levin blasted Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) renewing his threat to topple Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as Speaker of the House.

Gaetz set off a flurry of news coverage on Sunday by saying he would file a motion to vacate McCarthy. The declaration follows McCarthy’s cooperation with Democrats to pass a stopgap spending bill in the House, averting a potential government shutdown hours before it happened.

Gaetz’s promise represents the culmination of the government funding fight, as McCarthy faced intense opposition from far-right members of the House who threatened to oust him if he didn’t give in to their demands on spending. As the threatened motion to vacate made waves across the media, Levin blasted Gaetz on X — the social media platform once known as Twitter..

“Matt Gaetz and the 4 other clowns undermined the Freedom Caucus and all conservatives when they sabotaged an 8 percent cut in Domestic spending and strong border control measures,” the conservative radio host tweeted. “They rant and rave without a plan and without a real objective and now we get this 45 day CR. THEY did this. And predictably, they desperately blame everyone else.”

This isn’t Levin’s first time slamming Gaetz. Back when Gaetz and McCarthy were squabbling over the latter’s attempt to become the House speaker, Levin trashed Gaetz and his “bonehead” faction over the drama surrounding their revolt.
