Mark Robinson Announces His Lawsuit Against CNN Over ‘Black Nazi’ Porn Site Exposé in Wild, Incomprehensible Presser
Republican candidate for North Carolina governor Mark Robinson announced he’s suing CNN for $50 million over a September report alleging that he made lewd comments on a porn site over a decade ago.
In a press conference on Tuesday Robinson slammed the allegations, which he vehemently denies, as a “high-tech lynching” and accusing CNN of election interference.
“We are holding CNN accountable, and we are going to get to the bottom of what’s going on here,” Robinson declared, asserting that the accusations are part of a broader political smear campaign.
The report, published by CNN’s KFILE, alleged that Robinson posted racially and sexually charged messages on the site “Nude Africa,” where he reportedly called himself a “Black Nazi,” praised slavery, and shared explicit fantasies involving transgender women.
Robinson’s attorney, Jesse Binnall, backed up his client, stating that their investigation has revealed inconsistencies in CNN’s reporting and that the lawsuit had been filed on Tuesday morning.
“Lieutenant Governor Robinson has always said these allegations are completely false. Our investigation has shown that he is, quite frankly, right about that,” Binnall said, without offering much detail. He labeled CNN’s reporting a “journalistic hit-job” aimed at undermining Robinson’s gubernatorial bid.
Robinson compared the situation to Justice Clarence Thomas’ defense during his confirmation hearings, claiming he’s been targeted by political opponents.
“This is a high-tech lynching on a candidate who has been targeted since day one by folks who disagree with me politically and want to see me destroyed,” Robinson remarked.
CNN has yet to comment on the lawsuit. Meanwhile, Robinson’s Trump-endorsed campaign has faced internal strife, with fellow MAGA Republicans distancing themselves from the scandal.
