‘SHAME ON YOU!’ Seb Gorka Totally Melts Down Under Questioning in Live Interview
Things got heated between White House Senior Director for Counterterrorism Seb Gorka and Politico’s Dasha Burns in an immigration debate as Gorka blasted Burns and Politico as “gutter press.”
During the Policito Security Summit on Thursday, Gorka lost his patience at Burns questioning President Donald Trump deporting migrants to an El Salvador megaprison who aren’t actually gang members. Multiple deportations have sparked debate about Trump’s plan, including Kilmar Abrego Garcia. The White House maintains that Garcia has been identified as a member of MS-13 despite him having no gang-related convictions.
Garcia was an illegal migrant living in Maryland for more than a decade. The White House pointed to footage from a Tennessee traffic stop in 2022 shows police openly questioning whether Garcia is “hauling people for money” as proof of his gang affiliation. Garcia also has a hand tattoo that some argue represents the letters and numbers that make up MS-13. A photoshopped picture had some believing Garcia literally had MS-13 tattooed on his hands.
“How do you know if they’re are members of these gangs?” Burns asked Gorka on Thursday.
“You mean the tattoos MS-13 on our knuckles, that doesn’t help it,” Gorka said, referencing Garcia. “Do you have tattoos of Al-Qaeda?”
“The tattoo did not say MS-13. I don’t want to get into it,” Burns responded.
Gorka said he regretted agreeing to take part in the event and called Politico “gutter press” that avoids coverage of crimes committed by migrants.
He argued:
Oh, of course you don’t. It’s just accidents. The four symbols represent the letters MS. This is why Politico is a joke. This is where you are gutter press and fake news that those four symbols that just happen to comport with the letters, MS, and the numbers 13, don’t, in this case, represent MS- 13. You’re sitting here live defending a member of MS-13. That’s why I regret coming here. Because this isn’t journalism, this is protecting those who hate America. Shame on you. We are saving lives. Saving lives!
Burns defended Politico as Gorka described migrant crimes and asked why they hadn’t covered them.
“We have covered those stories,” she said.
Gorka declared he’d want to compare stories on migrant crime to reports connecting Trump to Russia.
“Let’s be honest, you have an agenda,” he said.
