Ted Cruz on SCOTUS Leak: Modern Left Is Willing To Destroy Institutions of Government for Their Agenda

Ted Cruz shared his opinion on the Supreme Court draft opinion leak and what he sees as the inability of prominent Democrats to condemn the breach of court proceedings and the threat it could pose for sitting justices.

On Thursday’s episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, Cruz said, “Today’s Democrat party is willing to, not only look the other way on that kind of violence but in Kamala Harris’s instance to raise money in support of violent criminals if it meets with their political agenda.”

Cruz was referring to Vice President Kamala Harris‘s tweet from June of 2020 where she shared and encouraged supporters to donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which was working to help post bail for those who had been arrested protesting the death of George Floyd.

Cruz continued, “That is an incredible corruption of what is meant to be apolitical law enforcement and it’s really dangerous. I gotta say in the wake of this leak from the Supreme Court a number of the left-wing activist groups — a number of activists are going online and celebrating the leaker as a hero.”

“One left-wing activist celebrated him as a hero saying ‘F- it, let’s burn the whole thing down,'” he added.

“Sadly the modern left is willing to destroy the institutions of government, whether it’s the Supreme Court or the Senate, in order to achieve their partisan objectives and that is incredibly dangerous,” Cruz concluded.
