‘This Buffoon’: Trump Border Czar Rips Jerry Nadler, Dems as ‘Encouraging’ Violence After Viral ICE Remarks

Border czar and former ICE chief Tom Homan said Democrats are “encouraging” violent attacks on federal law enforcement in a furious response to a clip of New York Democrat Rep. Jerry Nadler that went viral over the weekend.

Rep. Nadler was among the members of congress that Fox host Jesse Watters aired on Friday on a variety of topics. On the subject of a recent string of violent attacks on ICE agents that have been featured in the news and discussed on Capitol Hill, Nadler appeared to beg ignorance, and went viral for it on Saturday.

Correspondent Johnny Belisario conducted the street and hallway interviews for Jesse Watters Primetime and asked Nadler whether he condemns those attacks.

“What attacks on ICE agents?” Nadler replied, in the viral clip.

Fellow Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell of California was also the object of outrage on Saturday for a clip from the video in which he accused federal law enforcement officers of “terrorizing women.”

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, in turn, said in the video that “today’s Democrat party openly embraces violence and domestic terrorism and they embrace violence as a threat to law enforcement.”

In a post on X on Saturday, Homan, whom President Donald Trump named to oversee the mass deportations and ongoing ICE raids across the country, echoed Cruz in his accusation that Democrats are embracing violence.

Sharing the viral clip and referring to Nadler specifically, Homan wrote: “This buffoon knows exactly what attacks — his party is the one encouraging them.”

“ICE agents are facing an 830% increase in assaults because of smears from the left,” Homan said. “Their words have consequences. We won’t let them pretend they don’t.”

The Fox News segment also featured remarks from New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on the subject of voter ID and Tennessee Republican Rep. Tim Burchett discussing Rosie O’Donnell, who continues to comment on American politics after fleeing to Ireland ahead of Trump’s second term.

“I don’t know what the poor people of Ireland did to deserve that,” Burchett said. “They had the potato famine, now they got her. I don’t know what they did to deserve that.”

BELISARIO: Do you condemn the attacks on ICE agents?

NADLER: What attacks on ice agents?

FROST: I also condemn ICE being masked, coming up in unmarked vehicles, terrorizing our communities, kidnapping people, I condemn that too.

BELISARIO: Did you wear-.

FROST: I condemn them both.

BELISARIO: Did you wear a mask in 2020?

FROST: Did I wear a mask in 2020 during the pandemic? Yeah.

BELISARIO: Isn’t that the same thing?

FROST: No.

BELISARIO: You’ve got to protect yourself.

FROST: No, it’s not the same thing.

BELISARIO: Democrats are saying ICE agents should not wear masks. What do you say?

CRUZ: Unfortunately, today’s Democrat party openly embraces violence and domestic terrorism and they embrace violence as a threat to law enforcement.

FROST: Don’t wear masks in our community. You’re terrorizing women. Real men don’t terrorize women.

BELISARIO: Did you wear a mask in 2020?

SWALWELL: For health reasons, I’m not a cop. So, like whatever cute gotcha you think you have there.

BELISARIO: They’re protecting themselves.

SWALWELL: But look, do you know anyone who gets more threats than me? These ICE agents aren’t getting more threats than me, and I’m —

BELISARIO: Jesse Waters probably gets a little more threats.

SWALWELL: Well, Jesse Waters, not a real man.
