Trump: I Don’t Read the Huffington Post; HuffPost: Yes You Do
During his North Dakota press conference this afternoon, Donald Trump went on a bit of a tangent in trashing The Huffington Post.
See, last night HuffPost ran an interview they conducted with top Trump aide Paul Manafort. Manafort made some news by saying Trump will “soften” more on the Muslim ban and wouldn’t want to be “pandering” with a female or minority VP pick.
Trump said he hadn’t read the interview, but also said that Manafort was clearly misquoted. Oh, and he said this:
“I don’t read the Huffington Post. Was there an article in the Huffington Post?… I didn’t think they covered politics, the Huffington Post. Do they cover politics?”
Now, Trump probably knows they cover politics, and whether that line was a dig at them for moving him to the entertainment section for a while or not, who knows.
But HuffPost itself had some fun with Trump and called him out because he has clearly actually read the site:

Trump not only reads us. He prints us out, writes notes and mails us his thoughts. pic.twitter.com/CnjsSdDDwH
