Trump Rally-Goers Chant ‘USA! USA!’ After Being Shown Deportees in Foreign Mega-Prison
Supporters of President Donald Trump cheered and broke out into chants of “USA!” at a rally on Tuesday after being shown clips of deported illegal immigrant gang members being processed at El Salvador’s controversial CECOT mega-prison.
“Democrats have vowed mass invasion and mass migration. We are delivering mass deportation,” declared Trump during his rally in Warren, Michigan. “And the worst of the worst are being sent to a no-nonsense prison in El Salvador. Watch this.”
Trump then played a video which showed deportees affiliated with the gang Tren de Aragua being dragged off the plane in chains, transported to El Salvador’s CECOT prison, and having their heads fully shaved, before the caption, “100 Days of Greatness” appeared on-screen.
Trump’s supporters could be heard cheering, before breaking out into chants of “USA! USA!” as the president smiled.
“Under President Trump, America is a dumping ground for criminals no longer,” Trump concluded. “They’re not even trying to come in. But while we’re fighting to protect Americans, the radical-left Democrats, who are so bad for this country, are fighting to protect TdA – you just saw that – and MS-13 criminals.”
The Trump administration, which is currently paying the government of El Salvador to house gang-affiliated deportees in CECOT, received backlash this month after a man was reportedly mistakenly deported to the prison due to an administrative error.
While Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, had been granted protective status prohibiting his deportation to El Salvador, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt denied that the administration had made a mistake.
“We did not make a mistake,” she said. “We have always maintained this was an individual who needed to be deported from our country.”
Leavitt continued, “The president swore to the American public he was going to deport illegal criminals, and especially those who have been involved in violent gangs like MS-13 that have terrorized American communities.”
