President Donald Trump will tell the American public the Iran war is “winding down” during his televised address on Wednesday night, according to a new report from Politico.

The president will say all of his military objectives since Operation Epic Fury was launched on Feb. 28 have been met, and he also “intends to harshly scapegoat NATO allies” for what he perceives as their lack of support, according to six sources who spoke to the outlet.

Trump will essentially tell allies like the United Kingdom that opening the Strait of Hormuz is now their problem to solve, according to former chief strategist Steve Bannon; the president is “dumping on the NATO allies — it’s their issue,” Bannon said.

The price for a barrel of oil has jumped from $67.02 the day before the war started to $99.51 on Wednesday — up 49% in a bit more than a month.

Bannon also gave his sneak peek at what Trump will tell the public during his 9:00 p.m. speech.

“Two, three weeks, definable objectives. ‘I came, I saw, I conquered’ — and we are hanging around a couple of weeks to conquer some more — maybe even then a ceasefire, while reiterating that the Hormuz situation is the Gulf Emirates’ and the Europeans’ to solve, and declare victory,” Bannon said.

Politico’s report came after The Daily Wire journalist Mary Margaret Olohan reported the president will reiterate the 2-3 week timeline for the rest of the war that he mentioned on Tuesday.

Trump’s remarks will include him mentioning the U.S. has destroyed Iran’s ballistic missiles and production facilities, as well as a “guarantee” Iran will never get a nuclear weapon.

The president has been hinting the war will be wrapping up sooner than later recently, and he has said several times the war is ahead of his initial 4-6 week schedule. His address on Wednesday night now firmly falls within that 4-6 window, after joint U.S. and Israeli strikes killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the last day of February and launched the war.

Dozens of other top leaders from Iran’s theocratic regime have bee eliminated since then, and Trump has quipped he does not want to tell reporters who he is negotiating with, fearing that they will be killed next.

Trump vented about his frustration with NATO in an interview with The Telegraph on Wednesday, calling the alliance a “paper tiger.” He said he is considering pulling the U.S. from NATO entirely, following the war.
