‘Horrible City!’ Trump Reportedly Trashes Milwaukee — Site of the Republican National Convention

The 45th president is evidently no fan of beer, bratwurst, and Brewers baseball.
During a closed-door meeting with Republican Congressional leaders, former President Donald Trump trashed Milwaukee, the site of the looming Republican National Convention, as a “horrible city” — according to Punchbowl News’ Jake Sherman.
Sherman is a well-respected Capitol Hill reporter whose sourcing among both party’s leadership is as strong as virtually anyone. So it’s notable that Trump openly insulted the site of the RNC and the largest city of swing state Wisconsin, mere weeks before the convention is set to convene.
Sherman tweeted the news of Trump’s Milwaukee diss Thursday morning, writing “”Milwaukee, where we are having our convention, is a horrible city.”
🚨TRUMP TO HOUSE REPUBLICANS:
“Milwaukee, where we are having our convention, is a horrible city.”

It isn’t difficult to imagine how this story will evolve, with baseless recriminations of “fake news” and loyal colleagues of Sherman stepping up to vouch for his strong character and reliable reputation for accurate reporting.
And if Milwaukee’s Journal-Sentinel had any sense of humor, their headline tomorrow morning would be “Trump to Milwaukee: DROP DEAD!”
