‘Stop Talking About That!’ Trump Shuts Down Woman Reporter Asking ‘Did You Vote Against The Abortion Ban?’

Former President Donald Trump shut down a woman reporter grilling him over whether he voted to support or reject Florida’s six-week abortion ban, telling her to “Stop talking about that!” on Tuesday.

Going into Election Day, the dominant storylines are the bombshell Des Moines Register poll showing Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of Trump in Iowa, and the dizzying sprint of swing state rallies that spit out viral moments at breakneck speed.

On Tuesday, Trump participated in an Election Day political ritual — the photo op while casting his own vote, after which he took questions from reporters.

One of the first came from a woman asking if he voted for or against a ballot measure to repeal the ban.. Trump has been trying to walk a line between bragging about overturning Roe v. Wade and trying to reassure voters he won’t sign a national abortion ban — while refusing to actually say he would veto one. He had previously come out against Florida’s six-week ban, then within a day said he would vote to uphold it.

Trump dodged by repeating his line about returning it to the states.

Several minutes later, she persisted, and Trump cut her off:

REPORTER: Did you vote against the abortion measure supporting Florida’s six-week–

DONALD TRUMP: We did a great job in that. We brought it back to the States as you know.

I believe in exceptions, as Ronald Reagan did. And we did a great job. We did something that they wanted to do for 52 years.

REPORTER: I wanted to ask you again about the abortion ban, if you voted against it? And also Melania–

DONALD TRUMP: Just stop talking about that!
