Anthony Scaramucci, who served as former President Donald Trump’s White House Communications Director, was pretty sure that Trump would be clamoring for a second debate with Vice President Kamala Harris. Now, it seems, he’s not so sure.

Two days after Trump’s poor showing at his first matchup against Harris, Scaramucci appeared on CNN and said: “It’s 100 percent that he’s gonna debate. I’ll make that prediction here. He’s a wrestler. You know, he’s like a UFC thing. He’s gonna say he’s not gonna debate. He knows he lost the debate.”

This response came after Trump declared on Truth Social: “THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” Trump also did not accept the debate invitation that CNN proposed for a rematch on October 23, which Harris accepted. Trump claimed the date was “too late,” saying that early voting had already begun.

On Monday, Scaramucci said in a post on Twitter/X that he was reconsidering his prediction, even admitting: “I got this wrong about Trump.” He added that Trump may have “actually lost his fighting spirit. There is something wrong. Not exactly sure what it is.”

Scaramucci attended the ABC News presidential debate as a guest of Harris. Since serving in Trump’s administration, he has become an outspoken opponent of the ex-president.
