Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Sunday to claim that he will get the “majority of the libertarian votes” in November’s general election.

On Saturday evening, Trump spoke before an unfriendly crowd at the Libertarian National Convention in Washington, D.C., where he faced loud boos from the attendees. The boos became so loud at one point Trump began to taunt the crowd by saying if they want to win in November they would vote for before adding, “If you want to lose, don’t do that. Keep getting your three percent every four years.”

Despite the unfriendly crowd, Trump claimed on his social media website that he is popular amongst Libertarian voters while also bashing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as a “radical left Democrat.”

The former president also claimed that he could have “absolutely gotten” the Libertarian nomination, but did not file the proper paperwork because he is not allowed to run as the nominee for another party as the Republican nominee.

“The reason I didn’t file paperwork for the Libertarian Nomination, which I would have absolutely gotten if I wanted it (as everyone could tell by the enthusiasm of the Crowd last night!), was the fact that, as the Republican Nominee, I am not allowed to have the Nomination of another Party,” Trump wrote to his fans on Truth Social.”

He added, “Regardless, I believe I will get a Majority of the Libertarian Votes. Junior’ Kennedy is a Radical Left Democrat, who’s destroyed everything he’s touched, especially in New York and New England, and in particular, as it relates to the Cost and Practicality of Energy.”

Trump concluded, “He’s not a Libertarian. Only a FOOL would vote for him!”
