Trump Goes Full Dog Whistle in Truth Social Tear Against ‘Nimrada’ Haley

Former President Donald Trump embarked on a racially tinged tear against presidential rival Nikki Haley on Truth Social Tuesday night, dubbing her ‘Nimrada’ [sic] in an attempt to highlight her Indian heritage.
“Anyone listening to Nikki ‘Nimrada’ [sic] Haley’s wacked out speech last night, would think that she won the Iowa Primary. She didn’t, and she couldn’t even beat a very flawed Ron DeSanctimonious, who’s out of money, and out of hope,” began Trump. “Nikki came in a distant THIRD! She said she would never run against me, ‘he was a great President,’ and she should have followed her own advice. Now she’s stuck with WEAK POLICIES, and a VERY STRONG MAGA BASE, and there’s just nothing she can do!”
Haley’s given name at birth was Nimarata Nikki Randhawa. She has gone by “Nikki” since childhood and dropped her maiden name when she married her husband.
None of that, however, has stopped her political opponents on the left and right from using her name as a way to attack the former governor of South Carolina and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
Trump went on to make 8 more posts — mostly in the form of videos and graphics — attacking Haley over everything from her electability to her position on Social Security, to her supposed relationships with Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney. One depicted her and former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s faces melded together.
The former president’s demonstrated concern over Haley’s candidacy comes as Republican primary moves on to the New Hampshire, where Haley is threatening Trump’s lead.
A pair of recent polls have found that Haley could be within four points of besting her old boss in the Granite State, where a victory could lead to a big momentum boost for her heading into her home state.
The New Hampshire primary will take place on January 23. South Carolina’s primary will follow a month later, on February 24.
