Former President Donald Trump referred to former RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel by her maiden name “Ronna Romney” during an all-caps rants against MSNBC.

Earlier this week, NBC announced it was cutting ties with McDaniel less than a week after hiring her as a political analyst. The network received a flood of angry public backlash over McDaniel’s hiring, including from some on-air personalities, such as anchor Chuck Todd, who called out the network’s bosses over the weekend on Sunday’s Meet The Press.

Trump took to his Truth Social platform on Wednesday afternoon and demanded Comcast CEO Brian Roberts push back against the “FAKE ANCHORS” at “MSDNC” for trying to take over NBC.

“MSDNC FAKE ANCHORS HAVE TAKEN OVER NBC FROM CHAIRMAN BRIAN ROBERTS, AND HE DOESN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO! THEIR RATINGS SUCK, FIRE THEM, AND START ALL OVER AGAIN,” the Republican nominee wrote to his followers.

Trump then demanded Roberts fire “Sleepy Eyes” Todd for reprimanding the network bosses on air. The former president also referred to McDaniel by her maiden name “Ronna Romney.”

Before McDaniel took over the RNC as chairwoman in 2017, Trump reportedly asked her to stop using “Romney” in her public name. During that time, Trump had a contentious relationship with Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), her uncle, who criticized Trump as a “stone-cold loser” during the 2016 presidential primary.

“WHO WOULD HAVE EVER THOUGHT THAT FAILED HOST, SLEEPY EYES CHUCK TODD, WOULD HAVE THE AUDACITY TO REPRIMAND BRIAN ROBERTS CONCERNING THE HIRING OF RONNA ROMNEY. THEY SHOULD FIRE HIM IMMEDIATELY, AND NEVER LOOK BACK. MAGA2024,” Trump concluded.

Following her ouster, McDaniel is reportedly in talks with top-level entertainment and media attorney Bryan Freedman and is seeking to collect $600,000 from her two-year contract.
