President Donald Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” might be mired in the Senate, but he can still have a big beautiful ballroom.
As the world gawked at the second day of Trump’s bitter feud with Elon Musk, the president took a break from firing social media shots at his erstwhile buddy and DOGE chief to make a celebratory announcement on his Truth Social account.
Just inspected the site of the new Ballroom that will be built, compliments of a man known as Donald J. Trump, at the White House. For 150 years, Presidents, and many others, have wanted a beautiful Ballroom, but it never got built because nobody previously had any knowledge or experience in doing such things — But I do, like maybe nobody else, and it will go up quickly, and be a wonderful addition, very much in keeping with the magnificent White House itself. These are the “fun” projects I do while thinking about the World Economy, the United States, China, Russia, and lots of other Countries, places, and events. It will all be good, maybe even GREAT, depending on who is the President of the U.S.A.!
Currently, the White House does not have a room specifically designated as a “ballroom” per se, but the East Room has long been used for events, receptions, and other such events.
Trump has said publicly several times that he would like to have a large ballroom constructed at the White House, similar to the one he had at his residence at Mar-a-Lago, and to end the receptions held under tents on the South Lawn.
In an interview with Kristen Welker on Meet The Press in early May, Trump said he would self-fund the ballroom construction.
