WATCH LIVE: Jan. 6 Committee Holds Hearing With Georgia Republicans Pressured By Trump

The January 6 Committee will hold its fourth day of hearings on former President Donald Trump’s effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election and the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The hearing is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET.

The hearings so far have focused on Trump’s incitement of his violent mob of supporters, his “stolen” election lies, and his team’s attempt to pressure former Vice President Mike Pence into helping him overturn his 2020 loss. Tuesday’s hearing is expected to focus on Team Trump’s plots to pressure officials into throwing out the election results in several key battleground states.

The witnesses will include Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, Georgia Secretary of State Chief Operating Officer Gabriel Sterling, and former Georgia election worker Wandrea ArShaye “Shaye” Moss. The hearing will not only look at how Trump tried to have state officials flip their election results on his behalf, but also the scheme to have fake electors falsely declare him the victor of the election. This tied into the plan to have Pence throw out Congress’ certification of the election results.
