Twitter Rips Allen West For Opposing Vaccine Mandates But Promoting Monoclonal Antibody Therapy: ‘Also Made By Big Pharma’

Allen West, a GOP candidate in the Texas governor race, said on Sunday that being hospitalized with Covid-19 has made him “even more dedicated to fighting against vaccine mandates.”
“Instead of enriching the pockets of Big Pharma and corrupt bureaucrats and politicians, we should be advocating the monoclonal antibody infusion therapy,” he tweeted from the hospital Sunday morning. He later added that he supports “individual choice” for vaccines.
West, who announced on Saturday that he had “COVID pneumonia,” said that both he and his wife, Angela West, received monoclonal antibodies. His wife, who is vaccinated, has been discharged from the hospital but West, who is unvaccinated, has not yet been. He described symptoms including low oxygen saturation levels.
West went on to say that he will “vehemently crush anyone forcing vaccine mandates” in Texas.
However, the gubernatorial hopeful was widely mocked for opposing pharmaceutical companies profiting off vaccine mandates when they would be also making money — with a larger profit margin — off of monoclonal antibodies.
