WATCH LIVE: Nancy Pelosi Takes Gavel as 55th Speaker of the House

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was the 52nd Speaker of the House of Representatives and the first woman to hold the position. On January 3rd, 2019, she takes the gavel again as the 55th Speaker; the second time a woman has held the position.

Watch live (above, via Time) as the 116th Congress begins and Speaker Pelosi is inaugurated into her position. Again.

They will begin at noon, starting with the invocation, then a quorum call for the new members of congress. After that, Rep. Pelosi will officially be voted in and take the gavel from current Speaker, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI).
