WATCH: Maxine Waters’ Supporters Take to Streets After Oath Keepers Fail to Show Up to Protest Dem Rep
On Thursday, the militia group the Oath Keepers planned to protest Rep. Maxine Water‘s office in Los Angeles.
The group published their plan on Twitter, writing in all-caps: “OATH KEEPERS, STAND AGAINST TERRORISM, STAND FOR FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND ASSOCIATION, IN SUPPORT OF ICE/BORDER PATROL AS THEY ENFORCE CONSTITUTIONAL IMMIGRATION LAWS.”

In response to their planned action, Waters issued a statement warning counter-protesters not to be baited by the rally and encouraged them to stay away.

When the day arrived, however, the Los Angeles Times noted that the Oath Keepers were nowhere to be found. The counterprotesters were there though out in the streets and, as recorded on KNBC-LA’s video, at one point grabbing a flag from two men in a truck who were driving by.
“A group of far-right protesters who planned to demonstrate outside Rep. Maxine Waters district office in South Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon failed to show up, but dozens of counterprotesters did,” the Times reported, noting the turn of events.
Benjamin Oreskes, a Times reporter, said police told him that the group agreed they would not be coming.

Waters has been a lightning rod for the right in recent weeks after her controversial comments about harassing Trump administration officials made at an immigration rally, comments that even prompted a response from President Donald Trump.
Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person, has become, together with Nancy Pelosi, the Face of the Democrat Party. She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max!
