‘I’m a F*cking Football Player’: Aaron Rodgers Tells Tucker His Reaction When RFK Jr. Offered Him VP Slot

The Tucker Carlson Show
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was taken by surprise when Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told him he was thinking about making him his running mate.
In March, Rodgers was revealed to be on a shortlist of potentials to join Kennedy on his independent presidential ticket. Rodgers has previously been vocal in his support for Kennedy, even using his platform on The Pat McAfee Show to float the idea of joining him for a live debate about the Covid-19 vaccine.
Kennedy ultimately chose Nicole Shanahan, but Rodgers continues to show support for his friend.
In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Rodgers revealed how Kennedy broached the subject and what his initial feelings were about the offer.
“My thing is [Donald Trump] had four years to do it and didn’t drain the swamp,” Rodgers said (starting at the 29:45 mark). “And whether he just got scared because of what he learned when he was in there — I think it’s very plausible. But that’s why I was interested when Bobby came to me and said, ‘Would you think about being my running mate?’ And I said, ‘Are you serious? I’m a fucking football player.’ But I love this country, and I’d love to be a part of bringing it back to what she used to be.”

When Carlson asked if he was interested in the opportunity, Rodgers admitted he was.
“Oh yeah, I thought about it,” Rodgers said. “I definitely thought about it because I love Bobby, and I just wanted to hear what he had to say about it.”
