President Donald Trump lashed out at former Ohio Governor and 2016 Republican presidential candidate John Kasich on Tuesday after Kasich endorsed Biden and railed against the Trump administration in his Monday Democratic National Convention (DNC) speech.

In response to former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie calling Kasich a “backstabber” and “an untruthful guy,” Trump tweeted, “John Kasich did a bad job in Ohio, ran for President and was easy to beat, and now went to the other side desperate for relevance. Good Job by Chris C in exposing yet another loser!”

During his speech, which was recorded from a literal crossroad, Kasich said, “The stakes in this election are greater than any other in modern times. Many of us have been deeply concerned about the current path we have been following for the past four years. It’s a path that led to division, dysfunction, irresponsibility, and growing vitriol between citizens.”

“Continuing that path will have terrible consequences for America’s soul because we’re being taken down the wrong road by a president who has pitted one against the other,” he continued, before concluding, “Joe Biden is a man for our times. Times that call for all of us to take off partisan hats and put the nation first for ourselves and of course for our children.”
