Ari Fleischer Pulls a Lewandowski: ‘The Clinton Administration Paid a Foreign Operative’
Yesterday, during an appearance on Fox News, former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski made a Freudian slip when he said “we should be focusing on the continued lies of the Clinton administration.” Well, it looks like ex-White House press secretary Ari Fleischer is suffering from the same issue.
in a panel discussion on Fox News Sunday this morning, the former Bush spokesperson tried to make the case that the Uranium One story that Fox News and conservatives have been pushing recently is worth looking into and isn’t just an attempt to distract from the Mueller investigation.
“Of course it’s worth looking at,” Fleischer told host Chris Wallace. “I think it raises more questions about the Clinton Foundation than the governmental process. I don’t know if the Uranium One deal is legit or not legit.”
Fleischer then shifted his attention to the notorious Trump/Russia dossier composed by former MI6 official Christopher Steels, bringing up the recent revelation that it was funded in part by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
“The dossier and the fact that it was paid for by the Clinton campaign is a serious issue,” he stated. “Vanity Fair reported in March of 2017, source A for that dossier was a senior Russian foreign ministry figure, and source B was a former top-level intelligence officer still active in the Kremlin.”
Fleisher continued, “So we do know that the Clinton administration paid a foreign operative to get information from the Kremlin on Donald Trump. That is using the Kremlin to get dirt on your opponent.”
