Benghazi Victim’s Mother Speaks Out on New Report: ‘I’d Like to See Hillary in Stripes’
In light of a new report on Hillary Clinton by the Republican-led Select Committee on Benghazi, the mother of one of the murdered Americans inside the consulate was invited to weigh in on the new revelations and conclusions.
Patricia Smith is the mother of slain U.S. information management officer Sean Smith. Ever since his death, Mrs. Smith has blasted Clinton many times since his death for “lying” to her and for how the State Department handled the attack.
Smith spoke with Deirdre Bolton on Fox Business’ Risk & Reward yesterday, and she made it clear that only Clinton’s conviction will give her closure.
“Hillary is a liar,” Smith said. “All they said, all they reported, I imagine, I haven’t seen the report yet, but, all the reporting is what Hillary told them. And I say she lied to them.”
While the report and the accompanying press conference didn’t seem to identify any specific criminal wrongdoing by Clinton, it still put a heavy focus on the slow response to the attack and whether Clinton understood the risks to the compound, among other things. Clinton responded to the report yesterday by saying “it’s time to move on,” but Smith said she would like to “see Hillary in stripes,” and she demanded that the media “do something” to pin down the former Secretary of State.
“All she has done is lied and people are believing her,” Smith said. “Have her call me! I’m still waiting. Hillary, I’m waiting for what you promised me. All I heard was you getting on TV calling me a liar. That’s not true, Hillary. I am not the liar. You are the liar.”
