Biden Pressed on How Well He’s Getting Along With Netanyahu After Declaring Gaza Must Get More Aid
President Joe Biden took questions from reporters on Tuesday and declared more aid to Gaza “must” be delivered as soon as possible, adding, “No excuses.”
Fox News cut to Biden taking questions just as he was being confronted about a new poll showing him losing a general election to Donald Trump.
“Five in a row,” Biden replied, arguing most polls show him winning.
“You guys always look at the New York Times, they are a great paper,” Biden added, referring to the Times poll which had nothing but bad news from the president.
“Should the Israelis allow more aid into Gaza?” asked an off-camera reporter.
“Pardon me?” Biden asked over the noise on the runway.
“The Israelis, are you pressuring them to get more aid into Gaza?” the reporter said.
“I’m working with them very hard. We’re going to get more. We must get more aid into Gaza. There’s no excuses. None,” Biden replied.
“How is your relationship with Netanyahu these days?” the reporter followed up.
“Like it’s always been,” Biden replied as the reporter pressed for more. “Like it’s always been,” Biden added with a smile.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has long had a contentious relationship with Democrats, which culminated in a fierce standoff with the Obama administration over the Iran nuclear deal.
“What are you preparing for your State of the Union address?” asked another reporter.
“You’ll hear me on Thursday. All right. Thank you all so very much,” Biden concluded.
