Chuck Todd Calls Out Trump Hypocrisy in Libel Law Comments: ‘Looked Like a Joke’

Chuck Todd found it a little rich tonight that President Trump would “unironically” be concerned about people getting away with making “knowingly false” claims.

The President made those comments today in talking about looking at the libel laws, and Todd could barely contain his amusement at the irony:

“Really? You can’t say things that are knowingly false and watch money pour into your bank account? This from a President who brags about his truthful hyperbole.”

He brought up how the Washington Post noted Trump’s number of lies in office has now hit 2000.

And Todd also noted how Trump can’t actually change the libel law in the way he’s talking about, remarking that “it certainly looked like a joke.”
