Cruz Spox Is Really Confused by Trump’s Veiled ‘Evangelicals from Cuba’ Attack

Last night, Donald Trump again swiped at Ted Cruz by telling an Iowa rally that not a lot of Evangelicals come out of Cuba. He said, “Just remember that. When you’re casting your ballot, just remember.”

On CNN earlier tonight, Brianna Keilar asked Cruz national spokesman Rick Tyler for his reaction to the implication there about Cruz not being in step with Iowan Evangelicals.

Tyler said, “I’m a little confused by it… Does it mean if you’re a Cuban you can’t be an Evangelical or if you’re an Evangelical you can’t be a Cuban? Brianna, I can’t make any sense of it.”

He went on to say “it just doesn’t make sense” because Cruz’s personal history makes it very clear how he became an Evangelical.
