Don Jr Hits ‘Total Farce’ Mueller Probe: ‘No Actual Crimes,’ Only Things People Did in Past Life
Donald Trump Jr. ripped special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Donald Trump and Russia a “total farce,” alleging that the investigation found no real criminal activity while on Fox News this morning.
The first-son opened the segment by shrugging off the Southern District of New York’s investigation into the Trump Organization and the Trump Inaugural Committee.
“I’m not worried about it because we function the way we function, we always have, always will,” Trump Jr. said on Fox & Friends this morning after the show aired a clip of former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie warning that federal prosecutors in New York are worse for Trump than Mueller.
“I’m old enough to remember two weeks ago when Mueller would be the savior. That is what they’re trying to do,” he continued. “They’re not investigating actual crimes anymore. They’re literally trying to find something they can make a big deal of. If that isn’t apparent to people around the country. ‘This is going to be it. We finally got him.’ I’ve been hearing this for two years.”
Trump Jr. went on to accuse Mueller of discovering no crimes during his investigation, despite the 34 people who have been indicted or been handed down guilty pleas amid the probe.
“They put incredible pressure on regular guys that couldn’t afford million dollars in legal fees, got them to slip up, say something incorrectly,” he said. “There are no actual crimes. There is only things that people did in past lives. In 2006 before we even thought we ever get into this crazy world.”
The executive vice president of the Trump Organization concluded by calling hat it “a total farce” and “the greatest witch-hunt in American history.”
Fox News’s Pete Hegseth appeared to agree with Trump Jr’s assessment, saying later in the segment that the investigations are “all for the sin of the wrong person getting elected.”
